We believe that how a puppy is raised during the first several weeks of life plays a huge role in the dog they become. Our goal is to send home confident, well-adjusted puppies that are prepared to transition smoothly into their new families.
From birth until go-home day, our puppies are raised with daily interaction, structure, and early exposure to common household and environmental experiences.
Our puppy raising program includes:
Puppies are raised in a hands-on environment, allowing them to experience normal household activity while also receiving individual attention.
By the time your puppy goes home, they will have already begun learning basic structure, routine, and confidence, giving them a strong start in life.
The Mini American Shepherd (also known as the Mini Australian Shepherd) is an intelligent, loyal, and highly trainable breed that thrives when given both mental and physical activity. They typically live 13–15 years and usually mature between 20–40 pounds, depending on genetics and gender.
These dogs are extremely people-oriented and tend to bond closely with their families. They are wonderful companions for active homes, farms, and families that enjoy including their dogs in everyday life.
Mini Americans are a herding breed, which means they are naturally intelligent and eager to work. Because of this, they excel in obedience, agility, performance events, and many working roles. With proper structure and training, they can also make wonderful family companions.
Our dogs have been raised around our family and young child, and we find that the puppies adjust very well to family life when given clear structure and training from the beginning.
Because they are highly intelligent, they benefit from consistent training and mental stimulation. Without structure, they can become bored and develop unwanted behaviors.
To give our puppies the best start, we introduce them early to:
Mini Americans are very loyal and thrive in homes where they are considered part of the family and given a job or purpose.
